Finally!!! Here in the New England we were afraid it wasn't coming this year. Up until a couple of weeks ago we still had snow on the ground but finally the snows have melted and the days are getting longer. And hurray! the daffodils are back. This bear from my spring promotional piece seems as happy to see spring as I am.
My portfolio was in need of 2 things: older kids and something in black and white / greyscale. I decided to combine it and also use it for the Illustration Friday topic "fortune". I'm not sure why I find it so difficult to paint kids that are about 10 years old, but I think I managed to do it here.
"Don't look at me," said Froggy. "I'm totally nude." This is painted for Illustration friday. The topic was "green".
The article was quite large to scan, so I hope it is legible. Hopefully when you click on the images, you will get a better view.
This article was written a couple of Saturday's ago. I am in it and I feel that the quote makes me sound a little cranky! I did say some happy things too but there was only so much space for each illustrator, so there was quite a bit of editing.
Still, it was great to be featured with some really amazing illustrators.

I want to wish you all a happy easter. Besides eating chocolate from my easter egg I've painted this picture this week.
A bit of an old one, but I like that it is simpler than my usual work. I always get too caught up in details!
